Navigating Human Complexity: A Journey into Relational Resonance and Inner Healing
Being a human is a radically complex phenomena. My goodness, we are all so inextricably connected and have a great impact on others, this too means that you are profoundly impacted by others and their states of being. When I talk about “states of being”, I am referring to one’s energetic resonance which influences one’s felt sense of being in a body, and their inner mental landscape. I teach a lot about the Autonomic Nervous System and its impact on these qualities of our human experience, which are constantly influx with the ever changing external environment.
I am currently in Arizona with family and immersed into a whole new relational field from what I live in on a day to day basis. Since I am a highly sensitive person, I am deeply attuned to the nervous systems of others. Even though all humans have this intelligence, some people are more sensitive to their own embodied experience, directly opening the door for them to become more aware of other energy bodies around them. The process of kundalini will naturally create more sensitivity in one’s system, because kundalini’s intention is to evolve you in to a more heartfelt human with an expanded awareness of self and other.
I have found myself deeply entangled in the trauma bodies of others, while also potentially triggered in my childhood patterns of suffering. Last night, I found much relief in sitting with my unpleasantness and listening to a beautiful dharma talk called “Heart Work” by my teacher Rob Burbrea. I have used dharma talks over the past fifteen years to support me in moving into new ways of relating to experience that bring freedom, and to resource wisdom teachings when feeling disconnected, and I highly recommend this for you. I am sharing a link to his talk below.
One inquiry that profoundly shifted my experience from pain to liberation was “what am I assuming, what is my current assumption”? For example, I’m sitting and feeling highly activated in my fight-flight response with cortisol and adrenaline pumping through me, and a deep tension moving into the back of my body. As I held space for assumptions to arise, I could meet them with a clear, accepting, mindful awareness, free of judgement. This would create a release every time a new assumption arose. Additionally, I was able to unravel down to the core of the problem. I tracked this assumption back to my ancestors and was able to extend a mass soul healing to many ancestors who were fearful of the energies of others. Their belief and my assumption was “they are going to come for me”. I thought this may have been a past life trauma, but got a clear emotional response when I tuned into my ancestors.
I want to note that sometimes it can be scary to look at our unconscious assumptions, but if you can cultivate trust and personal power, you can go there, and liberate yourself! It’s pretty amazing what is possible when we learn how to shine a light on the unpleasantness and unconscious. Imagine how different our planet would be if we all lived in this way.
I wanted to share this experience to inspire you to begin to questions, “what is my assumption in this moment”. This can be inquired into at any moment you are seeking, clarity or relief. I will also be leading a workshop on embodying safety next month where we will dive deeper into ways to bring about more safety and ease in one’s body and mind consciousness.
